We recently redesigned the site for One Holyrood B&B (a guest house in Newport Isle of Wight). The project involved both a design interface improvement while also augmenting SEO capabilities and generating a CMS back-end for the staff at the B&B to manage the content. So far the site has had increased traffic and more orders than before. Let’s hope this is a precedent for them to improve upon current business!
What they have to say about themselves:
The rooms at One Holyrood B&B (Newport, Isle of Wight) have been individually designed with quality, character and comfort as a priority. Accommodation is spread out over three floors of this Grade II listed building and though having undergone total restoration the building has maintained its charm and architectural integrity.
Prior to its renovation the buildings were very neglected and in a poor structural condition. It has undergone a total renovation & conversion under the architect Richard Holden of the London practice Holden Harper with decorative finishes by David Genty.
Last night I did Photoshoot Guildhall, with Will White in the city of London near St. Pauls Cathedral.

The photographs are not yet delivered to the client. Therefore, you cannot expect to be seeing them. However, the shoot was a very successful event and much was learnt from Will White and his years of experience as a professional photographer.
Last year, Will worked with the British Olympics women’s synchronized swimming team. Although, that’s nothing! He has also worked on countless projects: from video game covers, to bottles of shampoo, and even A-list celebrity portraits.
I was very flattered to be invited to work doing photoshoot Guildhall, simply the invitation was flattering enough, not only was the experience great but much was gained from the experience and I learnt a lot about strobing (working with flash) and working in low light. Sadly, I cannot tell you any more details about the night, as that would be a spoiler. However, it was a great night out.
Last week I met with Steph (@JeeniaUK) from Jeenia, who is an agent. She was discussing a potential new client, and only yesterday I met my new client Nathan from Guerilla-London.
The company is quite a noble cause offering opportunities to people into the creative realm teaching valuable business skills and suchlike. The business is two fold and I wont bore you with the details. However, trust me when I say it sounds good!
So how does DevMatters help with this project? With luck, and much enthusiasm we will be launching a set of websites promoting the brand and bringing Guerrilla-London into the limelight. Watch this space! I will be talking about it soon.
Of all things great and wonderful, I happened upon Jeenia through the most random routes possible. Those details aside, I can see working with Jeenia being a great progress towards for DevMatters. However, let me share some blurb from their site:
Want to use a student designer but not sure where to start?
We consider each project individually, matching the right creative to the right job depending on style, tone and the level of skill required.
The same quality service at a fraction of the cost (and the students get a good deal too!)
Sounds ideal for us here at DevMatters!
