Yesterday, after now almost 2-3 months full time work and of not really getting things registered/started I went on an HMRC workshop in Bromley to get a bit further clued up on what DevMatters needs to be doing in order to be checking off all the boxes.  While a lot of what was mentioned there was already covered at the TIC,  I can happily say that DevMatters is on its way to being fully registered and tax paying company.

I will be attending two more workshops on Business Expenses and completing the Self Assessment Online, next week. Hopefully they wont be covering old ground that I already covered in the TIC.

If you’re new to self employed you should take the time to getting these things underway. Book a workshop now.

Green Marketting @ TIC

2nd June, 2011

After thoroughly enjoying all the other Business Start-up seminars conducted at the Thames Innovation Centre (TIC) I was happy to be invited to the Green Marketing seminar where new ideas were put down on the table about how to reduce the carbon footprint on one’s company whilst also curbing the costs and increasing profitability. The event also bode well with actually networking with other companies with similar interests. I should make a point of going to the other events, I recommend if you’re in the area and have the time on your hands that you make the effort to go to similar events!
